Breaking Down The 5 Laws of Stratospheric Success

Since November holds one of the most treasured holidays in American Culture (Thanksgiving) I thought that this month we would break down the 5 Laws of Stratospheric Success found in the book The Go-Giver written and created by Bob Burg and John David Mann. I also wanted to break down Thanksgiving by concentrating on the last part of the word (GIVING) in lieu of the first part of the word (THANKS). I know, I know…it is a tad bit unorthodox however, any of you that know me on a personal level, know that if the crowd is typically going left, I typically go right. Of course if the crowd is heading into The Melting Pot Restaurant, then I will probably follow them inside…just saying! But The Melting Pot Restaurant will be another Blog at another time.

No sense beating around the bush…let’s find out what we will be discussing.

HERE ARE THE FIVE LAWS OF STRATOSPHERIC SUCCESS FOUND IN THE GO-GIVER

  1. The Law of Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
  2. The Law of Compensation: Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
  3. The Law of Influence: Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first.
  4. The Law of Authenticity: The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
  5. The Law of Receptivity: The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.

Do I have your attention yet? See what I mean when I said above if the crowd is going LEFT then I will typically go RIGHT. The 5 Laws Stated above are totally an unorthodox way of doing business. ANY BUSINESS! As a matter of fact, they almost seem like a recipe for disaster and bankruptcy; especially the first one….”Giving away more in value than you take in payment?”

I hope this topic has peaked your interest enough to stay tuned into the Blog over the next several weeks as we break down these 5 laws of Success. Again and let me re-iterate…I did not create the 5 laws…they were created by Author Bob Burg and John David Mann. Bob Burg is best known for his statement, “Given all things being equal, People will do business with and refer business to, those that they know, like (Or Love), and Trust.”

Soon we will be breaking down this statement as well…but think about that for a moment; Your Sphere of Influence is much more powerful than you can possibly imagine, and yet we tend to totally overlook the obvious and go after “leads and opportunities” of people that do not even know us?

Hmmmm….let that sink in. Be watching for the next Blog on Law #1:
The Law of Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.

Until next time ~ MLT
