What do you love most about the real estate industry?

I love helping others achieve such an important goal in their life as a new home. I love the variety of people I interact with each day and getting to know many of them as new friends. Each day is something new and exciting. Real Estate doesn’t seem like a job to me. I truly enjoy what I do.

What inspired you or led you to become a licensed real estate agent?

I enjoy being my own boss and having the flexibility to be more involved with my kids activities. I also enjoy being out and meeting a variety of people and not being stuck behind a desk all day. Home remodeling has always been a hobby of mine as well so being a real estate agent certainly compliments this.

What inspired you or led you to join our C Dan Joyner Family?

First and foremost the family like environment. Each agent is more than willing to help each other out if needed. Also, the support tools and technology the company offers its agents are industry leading and a vital component to success. The teaching is second to none as well.

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Tipsy Taco is a place my entire family likes to eat at frequently. There are so many great restaurants in the community it’s difficult to single out just a couple. I like just about every food, so selecting even a handful is difficult for me;) My wife and I especially enjoy heading downtown and trying all the new restaurants popping up frequently.

How long have you lived or worked in the upstate of South Carolina?

I moved to Greenville in 2004 from Michigan

What is the neatest event you have been to here in the upstate?

My family enjoys going to all the events downtown. Fall for Greenville is fun. Going to Greenville Drive baseball games at Fluor Field, Greenville Swamp Rabbit hockey games at the Well or watching Clemson football games at Death Valley are a blast. Apple picking in the mountains in the fall. There are just so many to choose from:)

Do you have any advice that you consistently give to your clients?

Communication is essential for a smooth real estate transaction. Whether that includes home buying or selling. I’m available 24/7. Always feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. You can expect to hear from me consistently.

What is something that you dream of doing one day?

Retiring to a house on the lake so I can fish as much as I want;)

What would you consider to be your specialty?

Customer service and negotiation. I thoroughly enjoy talking with and helping people attain their real estate goals or dream. I love to negotiate and get my clients the best deal possible!

What is one thing about the Upstate that you believe sets it apart over everywhere else?

The downtown. It’s vibrant, artsy, family friendly and has a variety of unique restaurants and stores. Lots of fun events always going on. Almost everyone I talk to is super friendly.

Outside of a personal family member, is there anyone that you look up to more than anyone else and is considered by you to be an inspiration?

As a believer it would definitely be Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior and I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

Where would you like to be in your life in the next ten years?

Still working in real estate. Kids out of the house. Being the go to realtor for buying and selling homes in the upstate.

What is one thing that most people do not know about you?

In high school in Michigan, I once drove a truck out onto a frozen lake to go ice fishing and the truck fell through the ice. (I no longer like the cold;)

Are there any places that you have visited that you would recommend for others to visit and enjoy?

Yellowstone. Hawaii, Tahiti. Hawaii is probably my all time favorite

If you could be famous would you be an actor, a musician, a politician, a sports star or anything else you would wish to be?

A MLB baseball player

What is your favorite time of the year?

Summer. I love the beach and the warm weather.

What do you wish for your clients every time you begin to work with them?

For buyers, the ultimate goal is to find the perfect home my clients are looking for. Or for sellers, to sell a client’s home quickly and for the highest price possible. Both involve a mutually agreed upon game plan. When I begin working with a client, the best possible outcomes happen when we have a plan in place that has well communicated goals.

How do you work on being better everyday (Personal and business)?

The most important way I strive to be better each day is by setting well defined goals for both personal and business success. Good leaders are a rare commodity these days. My goals are usually centered around leadership. I’m also part of a leadership group which involves teaching and holding one another accountable on achieving their goals.

Name one thing that sets you apart from other agents in the Upstate.

Communication – expect to hear from me all the time:)

What is your favorite social media platform?

Facebook. Most of the time:)

Finally, what makes a home a home to you?

For me, a home is a home, simply put, if it’s a place that makes me and my family happy. Same with my clients. If they are truly happy and a house meets all their goals, it doesn’t matter what style it is, how big it is, etc., it’s a home to them. If I find my clients a home that accomplishes this, then we’ve had success.
