Getting To Know Wendy McKee

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren.

What do you love most about the real estate industry?

I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their dream of owning a home. And I especially enjoy working with people who are relocating to our area, because I once was new to the area and I LOVE introducing Greenville to my clients.

What inspired you or led you to become a licensed real estate agent?

I actually loved our home buying process, but our first agent didn’t listen to our needs and wants, and I knew I could do a better job. So when the time was right, I got my real estate license and I’ve never looked back!

What inspired you or led you to join our C Dan Joyner Family?

The C Dan Joyner company has always been one that is highly respected in our community and I wanted to be a part of it.

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A few of my favorite restaurants in our community are The Stripclub 104 Steakhouse, Adams Bistro, Jianna’s and Kitchen Sync.

How long have you lived or worked in the upstate of South Carolina?

We moved to the upstate in 1983 and I got my real estate license in 1995.

What is the neatest event you have been to here in the upstate?

There are just too many events in our area to even choose my favorite but I love downtown Greenville at Christmas time with the carriage rides, the decorated trees in the Hyatt and the ice skating rink.

Give me three attributes that best describe YOU?

Responsible, hard working, and fun.

What would you consider to be your specialty?

I am a buyer specialist and work in all price points and every area in the upstate. But my specialty is working with people who are relocating.

What is one thing about the Upstate that you believe sets it apart over everywhere else?

The people! Greenville is just a great place to live and work.

Outside of a personal family member, is there anyone that you look up to more than anyone else and is considered by you to be an inspiration?

The person I look up to above anyone else is Jesus.

Are there any places that you have visited that you would recommend for others to visit and enjoy?

I loved visiting the town of Grindewald, Switzerland. It is a hidden gem that not many people know about. Many – Alaska, Hawaii, the Grand Tetons, California Wine Country, anywhere in Florida…

If you could be famous would you be an actor, a musician, a politician, a sports star or anything else you would wish to be?

I have actually never thought about being famous so I have no answer to this question. I guess maybe being the “World’s Best Grandmother”!

What is your favorite time of the year?

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the weather, the color of the leaves on the trees, but mostly college football!

What do you wish for your clients every time you begin to work with them?

I always hope that each of my clients will find a home that they will be happy in and make wonderful memories. And that they are happy with the job that I did.

How do you work on being better everyday (Personal and business)?

I try to keep life in perspective, start my day by reading the Bible, and work on having balance in my life.

Name one thing that sets you apart from other agents in the Upstate.

I am a listener, I am a problem solver, and try to always put the interests of my clients first.
